Societ\u00e0 per le Belle Arti ed Esposizione Permanente presents a major prints exhibition of the German master Albrecht D\u00fcrer, an itinerary that comprises 170 engravings from the collection of the Municipality of Novara.<\/p>\n
The Permanente has always had a particular focus on the art of engraving and dedicated to it many exhibitions, from the very first Italian Engraving<\/em> show in 1915, to The Italian Etching from the 19th Century<\/em> in 1955 and to the eight editions of\u00a0 Triennial of Engraving<\/em> between 1969 and 2003.<\/p>\n The Italian art critic Michela Tavola presents the exhibition with the text D\u00fcrer engraver<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Alongside the D\u00fcrer exhibition, Permanente presents The Museum tells its tale. Donations, documents, artists<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Through the display of some of the most recently acquired works, but also of paintings and sculptures from donation and prizes during the second half of the last century, the historical Milanese institution gives an overview of \u00a0the way its art collection has grown during the years.<\/p>\n Since its establishment, the collection increased thanks to donations from artists and art collectors \u2013 above all Giovanni Falck – and to prizes awarded during the 19th<\/sup> Century, including \u201cPremio Fornara\u201d, \u201cPremio Feltrinelli\u201d and \u201cPremio Bagutta \u2013 Orio Vergani\u201d.<\/p>\n Today Permanente is also presenting to public an important group of works, from the collection of Walter Fontana, which has recently become part of the collection, with sculptures by Martini, Cascella, Consagra, Manz\u00f9, Gi\u00f2 Pomodoro, Milani, Broggini, Minguzzi, paintings by Casorati, Cassinari, Birolli and Morlotti and the grandiose \u201cTable of memory\u201d by Arnaldo Pomodoro.<\/p>\n A section of the exhibition is also dedicated to the display of documents from the historical archive.<\/p>\n Opening <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Wednesday 3 July 2013, h 18.30<\/p>\n 3 July \u2013 8 September 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n Tuesday \u2013 Sunday\u00a0 10-13; 14.30-18.30<\/strong><\/p>\n Closed on 15 and 16 August 2013<\/p>\n Free entry<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Societ\u00e0 per le Belle Arti ed Esposizione Permanente presents a major prints exhibition of the German master Albrecht D\u00fcrer, an itinerary that comprises 170 engravings from the collection of the Municipality of Novara.
